This was such a fun post to write, I love sharing some facts about myself with all of you so for those who asked these questions via Instagram, this one’s for you: Thanks for your great wanderings, here are all my responses! **Describe your style.
I don’t think I have a concrete style, I’m more of a spontaneous dresser, I like trying new styles and changing things up a little so I don’t get bored! I would wear anything that makes me feel good and comfortable, that could mean wearing a black leather jacket with dark lips one day and wearing a cute dress with nude lips the other. My style really depends on my mood and where I’m headed to!
** What’s your best memory?
I have a few great memories in mind but one that really stands out was when I was crowned as Miss Teen Belleza Latina International 2014. I remembered jumping, screaming and crying tears of joy on stage, as I waved my Puerto Rican flag with so much pride. I put a lot of effort into the competition in all aspects; intellectually, physically and emotionally. My family and friends traveled to Orlando, Florida to support me during the competition so it was a great blessing to win in front of them. It was definitely one of the happiest days of my life because celebrating a meaningful triumph with your loved ones, no tiene precio!
**How did you get your hair to be like that in the picture?
I washed my hair the night before and let it dry while I was asleep (I know you are not supposed to do that but, oh well!) When I woke up the next morning, I curled my hair with a flat iron. When you use a flat iron to curl up your hair you will most likely get beach waves. I wanted a carefree looking style so I didn’t curl my hair equally, I opted for a messier look.
** How old are you?
**If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
Such a tough question! I absolutely loooooove to travel, so I would probably choose a trip to South America where I could visit Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina. Visiting all these beautiful countries would teach me more about the Latino culture I am part of + it would give me a chance to visit some old friends along the way!
**Whose style are you currently loving and why?
I am loving Murad Osmann’s “Follow me to” project! I really appreciate how he takes you to a place you’ve never visited with just one picture. His wife, the model that appears in all his shots, wears her outfits according to the specific country they are visiting so I find that very interesting and inspiring!
**What’s your favorite food?
Puerto Rican food for sure, especially my mom’s. I love her arroz con habichuelas (rice and beans,) avocado and chicken breast. My favorite Puerto Rican dish is mofongo filled with shrimp in creole sauce. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water!
I’m going to be honest with you, my all time favorite is reggaeton, but I also love salsa and pop music. Whenever I listen to any of these, I dance like no one is watching!
I’m a movies lover! I would trade a night out partying to stay in watching movies while eating chocolate ice cream anytime! (#noshame) It is difficult to pick just one but I’ll say “Conviction”. It has a beautiful message and it’s great to watch with your siblings.
**Favorite TV shows?
“Scandal” and “How to get away with murder,” I love TV shows where a woman plays a strong, passionate and fearless character. Roles like that are inspiring and empowering!
