Hair. Hair. Hair. So many options to pick from! Dye it blonde, cut it short, get bangs… Marie-Lou&D Maison de Beauté at Soho helped me figure out what I wanted.
Yoann Forlini, Creative Director at Marie-Lou&D, has magic hands.
After receiving me at the beauty salon, he took a quick look at me and said: “You just need a few highlights to brighten up your beautiful skin!”. Forlini told me a little color would go a long way, especially right before summertime and I was totally convinced!
I was given an assortment of beauty and fashion magazines, a glass of champagne and I transported to Paris. The vibes of this cute spot in Soho are very Parisienne, most of the hair stylists have a French accent and a friendly, bubbly personality. You just don’t go here for their hair services only, you go here for an awesome pampering time and a fun meeting with the staff!
Forlini used his particular painting and contouring technique to give me the highlights I needed. Hugo Yvinec, French hair stylist at Marie-Lou&D, then washed my hair and gave me a sculpt massage. Life-changing, let me tell you!
Then Forlini went on and started with the gloss process, my favorite part. This made my hair felt silky, smoother and healthier, specially after the bleaching process. After rinsing and conditioning my hair with a mask, I was given a bit of smoothing taming milk to protect my hair from the heat.
Finally, I was styled with subtle, feminine waves, done with a 1 ½ curler.
I looked younger, fresher, and my face shape was complimented by my new hairstyle! Contouring is not only for the face, girls, it’s also trending in the hair industry!
My new look is nothing too dramatic, it’s a simple, yet fun upgrade while while maintaining my hair healthy. I love it.
Oh! In case you’re wondering: My lovely blouse is from Marled by Reunited Clothing, Zac Posen sunglasses are from Kenmark Eyewear and Viviana D’ Ontañón necklace is from Boca Ciega Style Market.
